PTG was approached by Cycling Sports Group with the consulting, content and digital experience scope for a pilot program to open standalone branded bicycle shops for Cannondale, in key east coast cities. The proposition was to build brand recognition and influence with the standalone stores, while maintaining a balance that would not put independent bike dealers off. The experience had to be immersive, brand-powered, and exciting enough to energize independent bike dealers who would be touring the stores and contemplating adding the Cycling Sports Group brands to their own lineups back home.
PTG came in late to the discussion and was up against a competing bidder who had already established some scope parameters in audio, video, digital signage and interactives. PTG was able to offer suggestions for new platforms in software and hardware, new content ideas, and new designs. In the end, PTG supplied:
