Senior Field Technician

Reports To: Manager of Engineering, Installation Services & QC

The Senior Field Technician supports outsourced field technicians via phone, performs QC checks on installations and handles local installations. This role supports rack fabrication as needed, administers bidding process and contracts for vendor performance/compliance (I.e. prepare specifications, evaluate bids, recommend vendors, etc.) for the purpose of securing services within budget and in compliance specific to service and installation projects.

We’re looking for results-driven RV Sales Associates to actively seek out and engage customer prospects. You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform job site visits to QC installations as requested by clients and project managers
  • Provide service labor support to all Service & Support Specialists
  • Create quotes of necessary labor and/or parts needed based on troubleshooting documentation and scope of work provided by internal customers (Sales, PM, NOC)
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and administer service labor in accordance with company policies and requirements
  • Hire and provide subcontracted field resources with all necessary information, documentation, and guidance
  • Consistently evaluate completed projects in order to ensure that the proper Installation Services processes and procedures are being completed by both internal employees as well as subcontracted resources in the field
  • Provide an avenue for conflict resolution between the field resources and internal customers (Sales, PM, NOC) when discrepancies occur either in field conditions, billing requirements, or proper documentation
  • Negotiate service request with subcontracted field resources to ensure that they are being utilized in the most efficient and effective ways possible
  • Effectively manage expectations between PTG and subcontracted field services resources from the onset of the professional relationship
  • Manage technician sourcing ticket requests with response time of 24 hours
  • Provide routine and regular audits on completed projects in order to ensure that the proper Installation Services processes and procedures are being completed by both internal employees as well as subcontracted resources in the field
  • Achieve and maintain a fully staffed service coverage network for all levels of subcontracted field services resources, within a reasonable level of work expectations
  • Ensure subcontracted resources in the field participate in and maintain all required testing and certification protocols set up for them
  • Maintain technician records and ensure that all necessary paperwork is kept up to date by the subcontracted resources
  • Research, qualify, and recruit new subcontracted resources in understaffed areas of Installation Service coverage for AV technicians, programmers, and electrical contractors
  • Coordinate with project managers, project coordinators, and service & support team members to ensure that subcontracted field resources receive all necessary information, documentation, and guidance before, during, and after active projects
  • Update outdated documents and agreements to comply with the most current laws, practices, and policies
  • Maintain a profitable relationship with a number of vendors capable of providing coverage support to remote areas where current workloads do not provide incentive enough for traditional subcontracted field service resources to devote the time, energy, and resources necessary to maintain a partnership with PTG

Qualifications

  • NIMBLE
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in the field installing commercial A/V systems
  • Proven working experience in Customer Service in the A/V industry
  • Experience installing commercial A/V systems
  • Experience in rack fabrication – ability to build racks (wired correctly to the specs, labeled, and tested)
  • Experience in Q360, Pantera, or other web portals a plus
  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external partners
  • Ability to thoroughly read and understand contracts
  • Ability to take initiative and work efficiently and efficiently
  • Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment; sense of urgency a must
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, able to produce advanced Excel Workbooks, smartsheets
  • Ability to conduct in-depth internet research to provide the best possible for the company
  • AV training and certifications required – Crown, Cisco, Biamp, BSS, Bose, DBX to name a few
  • Travel required

Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the generation of all engineering documentation; proposal drawings, shop drawings, bills of material and scope of work. Completing engineering tasks as required while maintaining schedules and deadlines. Engineer may require interaction with the client via site visits or phone.

Responsibilities

  • Create full BOM based on Sales Team opportunity requests
  • Create and deliver demonstrations, presentations, prototypes, POC/POV and map features/benefits of client's products to prospects specific needs
  • Develop engineered solutions that map customer business requirements
  • Generate technical scopes of work (SOW) and detailed design narratives for engineered solutions
  • Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and technical/functional design specifications to prepare compliant engineered solutions
  • Research emerging technologies in support of A/V solutions
  • Interface with product and distribution partners to obtain systems, device, and equipment pricing during engineering process
  • Maintain quality assurance by following organization standards
  • Willing to participate in advanced industry trainings to obtain certifications
  • Perform internal trainings on various AV technologies
