Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the generation of all engineering documentation; proposal drawings, shop drawings, bills of material and scope of work. Completing engineering tasks as required while maintaining schedules and deadlines. Engineer may require interaction with the client via site visits or phone.

Responsibilities

  • Create full BOM based on Sales Team opportunity requests
  • Create and deliver demonstrations, presentations, prototypes, POC/POV and map features/benefits of client's products to prospects specific needs
  • Develop engineered solutions that map customer business requirements
  • Generate technical scopes of work (SOW) and detailed design narratives for engineered solutions
  • Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and technical/functional design specifications to prepare compliant engineered solutions
  • Research emerging technologies in support of A/V solutions
  • Interface with product and distribution partners to obtain systems, device, and equipment pricing during engineering process
  • Maintain quality assurance by following organization standards
  • Willing to participate in advanced industry trainings to obtain certifications
  • Perform internal trainings on various AV technologies

AV Field Technician

Reports To: Director of Operations

The AV Field Technician performs the installation, upgrade, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of audio, video, and control systems in commercial environments. When not in the field they will provide support to PTG field resources as well as perform Rack Fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to physically install and configure commercial displays to a variety of substrates
  • Knowledge of commercial audio and ability to install all audio components including but not limited to speakers, amplifiers, and DSPs
  • Ability to pull and terminate network and audio cabling
  • Install and align commercial CCTV cameras
  • High level knowledge of networking infrastructure, Wi-Fi, and basic troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of AV rack standards
  • Serve as an escalation point for Service & Support Specialists
  • Perform local installs as well as occasional nationwide installs
  • Must have the ability to travel, often with little to no notice
  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external partners
  • Manage job sites in a clean and organized manner
  • Dress cables on AV racks and behind displays
  • Submit thorough check out reports before leaving job sites
  • Consistently evaluate completed projects to ensure that the proper Installation Services processes and procedures are being completed by both internal employees as well as subcontracted resources in the field

Qualifications

  • N.I.M.B.L.E.
  • 3 years minimum experience in the field installing commercial A/V systems
  • Proven working experience in Customer Service in the A/V industry
  • Experience in Q360 and/or Pantera a plus
  • Ability to take initiative and work effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment, sense of urgency a must
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Possess strong critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • AV training and certifications a plus
  • AMX, Extron, and Crestron knowledge a plus
  • Travel required – locally and nationwide

Technical Customer Service Representative

Customer Service & Support

Reports To: Manger of Customer Service & Support

Responsibilities

  • Manage internal tracking system for service jobs including Q360 boards, Pantera, and client Web Portals as necessary
  • Troubleshoot service requests prior to dispatching technicians for service calls
  • Create Scope of Work (SOW) for service dispatches
  • Communicate SOW and budget to Installation Services for technicians sourcing
  • Communicate SOW to technicians for efficient and timely dispatches
  • Create and update notes in Q360 specific to each client supported
  • Create and update technician PO’s in Q360
  • Create and update Client SO’s in Q360
  • Follow Client Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Escalate any concerns or issues to Manager (meeting SLA’s, ongoing issues, etc.)
  • Manage costs for service calls to be within the approved budget as determined by each customer and per Service Level Agreements (SLA), as applicable
  • Work with Engineering, as needed, to make sure proper equipment is being specified / quoted for replacements and / or enhancements
  • Generate quote in Q360 and obtain client approval, if necessary
  • Coordinate the shipment of equipment, communicating with internal and external customers, if necessary
  • Ensure technicians successfully complete the service job; collect COC, pictures, etc. and confirm technician PO amount
  • Upload all necessary documentation into the internal storage system

Qualifications

  • N.I.M.B.L.E.
  • Four (4) year college degree preferred
  • 1-2 years' experience in Customer Service preferred
  • Experience in Q360 and Pantera a plus
  • Extremely meticulous
  • Plans and fulfills responsibilities with minimal direction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated, goal oriented, persistent, skilled negotiator; Possess strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage stressful situations/deadline pressure, sense of urgency a must
